Don’t believe for a minute that the public option is dead. There is no way the Libs will pass a health care bill that does not have some form of public option. Without a public option, there is no point in them wanting health care reform.  Remember, it is all about control. No public option, no control. This is just a ploy in the hope that the revolt that is going on will subside. You will hear the term co-op. Unless the co-op is totally independent of government control, it will be the same as the public option with just a different name. Do not be fooled, and do not let your defenses down. Until there is a bill to read, we won’t know what it will have. Don’t be surprised if the next stage of this battle is trying to get information out of closed door meetings, and secret negotiations. They will rush a bill to the floor that no one will have time to read. Morning Bell: Public Option Is Not Dead Yet – Heritage.org

Now I know why Bloomberg keeps changing his party affiliation. He really doesn’t believe in representative government, and wishes he was a dictator. When things didn’t go his way on a pedicab bill, he had this to say,"Unfortunately, we have a democratic process and this [pedicab] bill is what we could negotiate." This should not surprise anyone considering that according to Bloomberg he is the only one capable of running NYC and had the term limits that the people of NYC voted for overturned. Hugo Chavez would be proud. At the next election, I will be writing in Mickey Mouse.  http://www.nydailynews.com/news/2009/08/14/2009-08-14_mayor_bloomberg_stands_up_on_segway_issue_said_hed_allow.html

All great change in America begins at the dinner table. So, tomorrow night in the kitchen I hope the talking begins. And children, if your parents haven't been teaching you what it means to be an American, let 'em know and nail 'em on it. That would be a very American thing to do.
