What is the truth about health care reform? We hear a lot of things, and a lot of people are very angry. I encourage everyone to read the bill themselves since our representatives in government, including Obama, refuse to. I understand that trying to read a thousand page bill that is written, in my opinion, to be intentionally vague is a very difficult task, so I will try and make it easier for you. Here are a couple of very good links from people who are actually reading the bill.

Now to me it is simply a matter of common sense. Would you buy a car, or a house without reading the contract? Wouldn’t you be suspicious if a salesman told you that you had to buy now because it wouldn’t be here tomorrow? They told us that the failed stimulus bill had to be done right away or we faced immediate financial collapse. Well six months after it was passed only 15 percent has been spent, and the economy appears to be recovering on its own. Some states get share of stimulus faster. Just so we don’t forget. How many of you remember that this was part of the bill? “One element of this massive bill, it turned out, called for "a nationwide health information technology infrastructure" that would include an "electronic health record" for "each person in the United States by 2014." Doctors and hospitals not complying with this mandate, the bill said, would be penalized by having their Medicare payments diminished.” Leviathan health bill diagnosis from The Washington Times stories: Commentary by Terence P. Jeffrey.  Was this the prelude? They tried to get the health care reform bill passed before congress’s summer recess. Why do you think this was so? Wouldn’t want to give anyone a chance to read it.

We’ve also heard a lot lately about the “Death Panels” in the bill. Of course, the Libs denied that there was such a thing, and Palin was once again made to look stupid. I wonder how since there wasn’t any such thing how they were able to remove it?  Best of the Web Today: Palin Wins  from WSJ.com: Opinion. Did you really think they would put a section in the bill titled, “ Death Panels for the Old”. Our senior citizens aren’t as stupid as the arrogant democrats believe they are. This is why they show up enraged at town hall meetings. They should be scared. Obama’s Senior Moment  from WSJ.com: Opinion

Another lie that the Libs are trying to sell us is that preventive care will pay for the additional costs. Back to common sense, and basic math that somehow our Harvard educated president fails to understand. It will, in fact, increase costs. The ‘Preventive Care’ Myth — By: Charles Krauthammer from National Review Online by Charles Krauthammer

So who lied? Obama or the AARP? I have to give this one to AARP. Though recently they have denied supporting Obamacare, I believe that the liberal organization does support Obamacare. AARP vs. the elderly  from The Washington Times stories: Commentary by Jay Ambrose

All great change in America begins at the dinner table. So, tomorrow night in the kitchen I hope the talking begins. And children, if your parents haven't been teaching you what it means to be an American, let 'em know and nail 'em on it. That would be a very American thing to do.
